“HELA SPIRIT DEPARTED” – Theckla Gunga

 

The Spirit of Hela has departed the LNG Harbor at Papa in Central with the first shipment of LNG Gas. This was announced today by ExxonMobil PNG Limited through a press release. ExxonMobil Limited Managing Director Peter Graham said, with the support of the government, co-ventures, and the local community, he is proud to celebrate the safe completion and the first cargo of the PMG LNG Project. The vessel bound for Japan left the country yesterday.

The selected national lawn bowls team to participate in the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games will be travelling to Fiji for a tournament as a part of lead-up competition. A team of five women and five men will be leaving at the end of this week to the 58th Fiji Bowling Carnival. The team will be participating in the singles, doubles, as well as fours. Lawn bowls has done very well in past Mini and Pacific Games as well as the Commonwealth Games.
