National Health Week, an annual event held each year across Papua New Guinea, took place in 2015 from August 17-21.
In the East Sepik Province town of Wewak, the event saw various activities take place as well as health care providers gathering together to provide free health care services.
These services included sessions on family planning, TB and HIV awareness, and education regarding dental and optical issues.
Among the health care providers who were present throughout the week were staff from Boram General Hospital, Wewak Urban Clinic and the Moem Barracks Clinic.
The event served as a timely reminder for all people here in Papua New Guinea to be aware of the health issues that could be of relevance to both them and their families.
Your health should be your number one priority, so if something is wrong be sure to have it checked out.
