Aussie Supports Police Modernization Plan

Australia will be taking steps to strenthen defence relationships and increase police co-operation.

This was announced by Australia’s Governor General Quentin Beyce during last night’s state dinner hosted by our Governor General in Port Moresby.

The red carpet was laid out atthe entrance tothe state function room.

The Prime Minister along with his wife were present and likewise for our Governor General.

The Australian Governor General followed suit looking elegant in her blue evening dress. 

GG Quentin Beyce spoke aboutthe bond Australia anPNG have, ignited more at this time whenthe ANZAC’s are remembered.

She announced Australia will be taking steps to strenthen defense relationships and increase police co-operation in support ofthe Royal Police Constabulary Modernization Plan.

PNG’s economic growth was an area of interest. She also spoke about AusAIDs development program, mentioning that she was an advocate for disadvantaged people.

Sir Michael Ogio acknowledged Australia’s continued support.

Australia’s Prime Minister Julia Guilard is expected to visit PNG in May.
