Newly formed Abau boxing association set for National Boxing championships to be held in Kokopo.
The association received support fromthe local MP Sir Puka Temu.
Comprised of two amateur fighters – Junior Kauboi will fight inthe 64 kilogram division and Deupu Noki in 52 Kilogram.
Currentlythe boxers are in camp preparing for the challenge.
It was a relieved tothe Association when Member for Abau Sir Puka Temu presented K15, 000 recently.
Association president Ricky Berua notedthe gesture. He believesthe fighters will put a good fight amongst ther talented amateurs from 14 clubs aroundthe country taking part inthe tournament.
The three day tournament will kick off on Fridaythe 5th of next month at Kokopo.
