Futsal in Progress

It may not be as big as outdoor soccer, but indoor soccer or commonly known as Futsal heads into another round of competition at DBTI in Port Moresby.

Hosting another Saturday, the Port Moresby Futsal competition saw some outstanding display of soccer skills in the mixed division.

Kicking off their matches as early as 9 in the morning, the Port Moresby Futsal matches saw the mixed division matches exhibit skills from both seasoned football as well as amateur players.

The Third mixed division match saw Mix mates in lock in their opponents on a 5 all draw.

While in the fourth match, Sea Bee’s took on C.I in a one-sided affair.

In his 3rd month of playing futsal, 17-year-old lad, Edward Lakae was outstanding in the box for Sea Bee’s.

Taking the match out 4-2 over C.I

The code is currently being piloted in Port Moresby, and PNG Football Association President, David chung hopes the completion will spark an interest around the country.
