Hope Youth Corps Volunteers Lend Helping Hand

The Cheshire Home Disability Centre in Port Moresby today got a helping hand from Hope Youth Corps (HYC) volunteers.

The volunteers visited disability centres in the nation’s capital, and helped out around the Cheshire Home.

The 13 volunteers are in the country to visit various parts of Port Moresby and Simbu.

They provided free health checks and assisted with a clean up.

They later left Port Moresby to travel to Simbu, to conduct further volunteer work.

Staff members at the Cheshire Home Disability Centre were thankful for the help from the HYC Volunteers.  They said the children were always happy and grateful when they received visitors.

Currently in the country are 13 volunteers from Australia, USA, Philippines, and Korea.
