PNG Prime Minister back from his first State Visit to Australia

Papua New Guinea’s Prime Minister has returned from his first state visit to Australia, stating the trip allowed his Government to establish the relations going forward with Australia. James Marape stated that a detailed report will be released in the coming days on agreements agreed on, including the refugee arrangement with Australia on when they will be resettled.

Australian Government increases its aid funding to PNG

The Australian Government has increased its aid funding to PNG with an increase of around K85 million. Around K1.4 billion will go towards the Australian Governments initiatives, the Australian High Commission in Port Moresby says it will directly benefit the lives of Papua New Guineans.
