For Minister Maru, trade betweenthe two countries were still a “matter of concern.”
For this reason, Minister Maru led a trade mission tothe Solomon Islands fromthe 31st of July tothe 3rd of August withthe hope of improving trade betweenthe two countries as well as marketin PNG as an ideal destination for investment.
At government to government level, bilateral talks took place between Minister Maru and his Solomon Islands counterpart Elijah Muala, while atthe private sector level, deals signed and partnerships formed.
