Digicel warns customers of SMS scam

Mobile Phone Company DigicePNG Limited has warned its customers to be aware of SMS scams.

The Company says opportunists have come up with various scams to steal money from its customers.

This is notthe first time that mobile phone users and internet users have become victims of such scams.

The latest scam induces customers to send a text message and in return win cash prizes worth K25, 000 to K50, 000.

The best thing to do if you receive a missed call or text message from an unknown number is to deletethe message or ignorethe call.

Digicel customers are advised to dial 123 to report suspicious sms scams to DigicePNG Ltd.
