Work for 2015 Pacific Games on Track

All 2015 Pacific Games Venues along withthe Games village will be mover intothe next phase ofthe construction, beginning early next year.

Despitethe festive season,the construction sit’s are in full swing asthe countdown continues


Tireless Sport Minister, Justin Tkatchenko, won’t rest untilthe venues are ready for the games.


Today isthe eve of Christmas and festive celebration can already be seen in Port Moresby.


Back onthe construction site, it is like any ther day as work is still on progress.


The 2015 Pacific Games will bethe biggest event held in PNG  and will contribute tothe development of different industries inthe country includingthe tourism sector.


Recently, speaking tothe media and sporting heads in a small gthering, Minister Tkatchenko said to work withthe relevant stakeholders to deliverthe games on time.


The Ministersaidthe Government is now working withthe private sectors in a public- private partnership program.


Curtain Bethershas come on board for Sir Hubert Murray Stadium. Lloyd Robson Oval, host of allthe rugby league action will officially be going under construction onthe 14th of January, 2014


The oval is under new trusteeship spearheaded by Peter Betten from Oil Search Limited. The oval is worth K171 million underthe Government Tax Credit Schemeudget.


LNG Gas project developer Oil Search Limited will overseethe construction work.



Today marks 556 days to go asthe countdown continues.
