As the cost of building materials rise in Papua New Guinea, the demand for cheaper alternatives is increasing.

That demand has given rise to small entrepreneurs  in Lae’ s Six mile settlement who are producing blinds that are being used for walls and decorative interiors.

As the young men and women become more involved, their involvement in crime has dipped.
