Sumkar MP, Chris Nangoi is eyeing Agriculture as a sustainable revenue earner for the district.

And with copra and cocoa, as leading commodities, Nangoi plans to use it to drive economic activities.

He said downstream processing is the way forward.

Sumkar district will tap into agriculture because it generates revenue and improves income per-capita.

Sumkar MP, Chris Nangoi is determined because, through agriculture, economic and sustainable development can progress.

While supporting the National Governments focus on agriculture, Nangoi said Madang is a leading producer of copra and cocoa and its important they maintain and sustain what is already on the ground.

Empowering farmers at the district level is the way forward.

This will provide more employment opportunities and help generate internal revenue.
