PNG Sports Foundation CEO, Peter Tsiamalili Junior says critics of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup underestimated PNG’s aptitude of hosting the world class tournament.
PNG proved to the world that the country was able to get ready in just 7 months in preparations for the FIFA U20 WWC, in terms of the games facilities.
With so many comments towards the PNG U20 side, the inexperienced young girls brought the country to a stand still with their first and only goal against the Korea DPR, something the country will never forget.
He said, despite the negative comments, PNG should be proud of hosting the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup, and that our very own young talents went up against some of the world’s best teams.
With PNG now ready with its Facilities to host another exciting event, the Rugby League World Cup 2017, alongside other host Countries, Australia and New Zealand, Mr Tsiamalili, says PNG is looking forward to another great event.
