Private Public Partnership is Key

Close collaboration between the private and public sector is needed to deal with the country’s challenging economic climate.

Businesses have stated that a public private partnership gives confidence to the private sector even if the private sector only gives 20percent.

A panel of private and public sector stakeholder’s gathered to discuss the major challenges in the business climate and best practices to use when moving forward.

Though 2019 is toted to be a year of recovery, in which benefits from APEC will be more evident, the country’s private sector is unanimous when urging with the government to exercise fiscal responsibility.

The panel was hosted by the Oxford Business Group, a firm that publishes investment and economic reports in more than 30 countries worldwide including PNG.
