PNG Karate Do Sends Four to Fiji

PNG Karate Do will send four athletes to compete inthe FijiInternational Karate Championships fromthe 26th tothe 28th of this month.

The team will take part in various events from Kumite to Team Kata underthe watchful eyes of Coach, Sensei Luke Goa.

 

The four have been hard at training and have performed consistently in major Karate tournaments.

 

Nigel Bena from Rock Shotokan Karate Badokai will compete in kumite inthe 60kg division while inthe Open and kata division, Quentine Beugen from Beka Shotokan Karate will compete in kumite inthe 84kg division.

 

Bernard Sinai from Mas Oyama Kyokushin Karate will compete in Kumite inthe 75kg and Open division while young Crystal Mari from Rock Shotokan Karate Badokai will compete inthe Cadet Division kumite 52kg, Open and kata.

 

The three male athletes will also take part in male team kumite. Coach Sensei Luke Goa fromthe Goju Ryu Karate club is optimistic asthe team is part ofthPNG development squad.

 

The team departs on Sunday 22nd Sept and returns onthe 30th.
