They were hoping to find jobs in PNG and earn enough totheir families back in Nepal.
The task force team saidthe Nepalese embassy in Australia has indicated it will assist.
The Nepalese hardly spoke English, but one managed to say thatthey were losing hope. He pleaded tothe general public to assistthem.
“We are innocent and not guilty. Someone is smuggling us and we need to go back home soon,” one says.
Meantime, Mamhudthe man alleged to smuggle in Beangladeshs has been charged with seven counts of forgery.
He will appear atthe District court in Beroko next Friday.
