Prime Minister, Peter O’Neill says he wants to be remembered for breaking down impediments to National ownership and participation in small businesses and medium enterprises.
The start to that would be to secure access to affordable finance, breaking down bureaucratic red tape and ensure training on business principals and book keeping.
Mr O’Neill was speaking atthe 31st graduation ofthe Divine Word University in Madang on Sunday.
The Prime Ministersaid tourism, agriculture and supporting technology based industries are achievable starts.
Afterthe graduation, operator of Melanesian tours, Sir Peter Berter, said it is disappointing that tourism has takenthe back step overthe years but remains a giant renewable industry waiting to be taped into.
