By Samantha Semoso – EMTV Online

Papua New Guinea’s netball team, the Pepes, have made it two wins from two at the Nations Cup netball tournament in Singapore.

The team compromising of both young and experienced players, under the guidance of former Fiji International Unaisi Rokorua outclassed Chinese Taipei 60-39 last night.

Rokorua is satisfied with the composition of the team for the tournament, and mentioned they came in as underdogs and would go the extra mile to make their mark in the rankings.

A day after beating the hosts, Singapore, 44-43, the Pepes won all four quarters in a much more one-sided victory to go to the top of the competition standings on goal difference.

Northern Ireland also maintained their winning start, inflicting a 46-35 defeat on Singapore, while Botswana narrowly held off the Singapore Invitational side by two goals.

The tournament continues tonight with PNG up against Botswana, with the Pepes looking forward to a good game and some more positive results.
