Paul Paraka Lawyers denies claims

The law firm as named in parliament Paul Paraka lawyers called a news conference at its office in Downtown Port Moresby yesterday.

But after a two hour wait, reporters were told it was called off.

They were then given a nine-page information paper denying all the charges raised during question time in parliament yesterday.

Principal Lawyer, Paul Paraka later rang EM TV News, to say that the information paper will be out in public today as paid advertisement detailing the law firm’s position.

Mr. Paraka said his law firm had been paid some money for rendering services to the state but not to the value of seventy-one point eight million kina (K71.8 million) as speculated in parliament.
