New Hood Point Day High School For Rigo

Rigo district is celebrating the opening of the new Hood Point Day High School at Hula Village, Central Province.

Central Province Governor, Kila Haoda, officially opened the new high school, assuring the people that classes will commence next year for Grade Nien and 10 students.

Hula Village is located at the end of the Rigo Highway in Central Province, and as of yesterday is now officially home to the second high school in the Rigo coast.

Communities around Rigo district came together during the Allan Jones Primary school graduation in the celebration of achievement and development.

Head Teacher, Henry Karaho, said the graduation marked a very significant milestone for Hula village, as it was also the launching of the new high school.

Yesterday also saw the opening of a new double classroom, a teacher’s house and a toilet block donated by AusAID.

K100,000 was donated last year by Central Province Governor Kila Haoda, Governor Haoda during his keynote speech thanked the school board for being true to the cause.

Governor Haoda during the official opening of the Hood Point Day High School reassured the people that he had more planned for the years to come.

Students graduating from Allan Jones Primary will not have to go far, as next year classes for Grade Nine and 10 will commence at the new Hood Point Day High school.
