Menyamya gets K20 million to upgrade roads

TWENTY million kina (K20 milliom) has been allocated bythe NEC to upgradethe deteriorated condition ofthe Menyamya roads.

The Menyamya Joint District Planning and Budget Priority Committee headed bythe local MP, Benjamin Philip, passedthe resolution to award funding to road contractors to carry out maintenance. 

The state ofthe Menyamya-Highway has heldthe local MP in question bythe people of his electorate.

Mr. Philip said fromthe K20 million allocated, K5 million will go to R & Sons Construction Limited to kick startthe work on main Menyamya Highway.

While K520, 000 will be paid to Yamando Construction Limited to maintain all feeder roads.
