Kavo wants Elk and Antelope Projects to Start Soon

Gulf Governor, Havila Kavo, wantsthe Elk and Antelope Projects inthe Gulf Province to start soon. He has called onInter Oil to announce a developer to take onthe projects.

 

 

These projects are of economic benefit tothe people of Gulf and must not be delayed. The outlook ofthe projects look bright and inter Oil is confident of deliveringthe project on time.

 

The Elk and Antelope gas fields inthe Gulf Province representthe second LNG project. Whilethe size ofthe gas reserves is not provern, it could be 10 trillion cubic feetogiving potential annual export capacity of 8.8 m tonnes of LNG over 15 years.

 

Earlier,Inter Oil entered into exclusive negotiations with Exxon Mobil to developthe project. However, it is still at a negotiation stage without a confirmed developer ofthe project being announced byInter Oil.

 

Newly-appointed Chief Executive Officer ofInter Oil, Michael Hession, stopped short of revealing details ofthe developer but saysInter Oil is committed tothe project.
