K1 million bond fee paid into BSP Kerema

Gulf Provincial government has paid a K1 million bond fee for work to begin on BeP Rural Kerema.

Gulf Governor Havila Kavo and Provincial Administrator Marc Avai presentedthe cheque to BeP’s Johnson Kalo on Tuesday.

The payment follows an agreement to allow BeP to return tothe Province. Underthe agreementoBeP agents will also be set up inthe surrounding Districts.

BeP will also roll out its Mobile Banking solution with customers to sign up soon.

Bank South Pacific has resumed services in Kerema after closing for almost 5 years.

Over 700 accounts have been opened so far.
