Sitting Sohe MP, Delilah Gore, will defend the Sohe Open seat in the 2017 National Election.
Gore was accompanied by hundreds of supporters who travelled from distant parts of the district to witness her nomination.
Gore’s supporters came from throughout Sohe District, and convoyed to Popondetta town to witness her nomination last Tuesday.
Her nomination was the biggest witnessed in the province, with hundreds of supporters accompanying her, shouting in local dialect “aza kebera”, which in Oro language means my mother. They were holding playcards, posters and banners with the slogan ‘Vote Delilah Gore’.
Speaking to supporters during her nomination, Gore said the massive turnout signifies her voter’s confidence in her past leadership.
Gore maintained that the people’s decision to retain her as Sohe MP is for their future, despite previous leaderships which they suffered under for a very long time.
She also told supporters to vote for good leaders that will protect their resources, leadership and children in the future.
