Lae Motorists Raise Concern Over Delay in License Processing

Motorists in Lae have raised concerns over the delay in processing their licenses at the Morobe Traffic Registry office.

The Provincial Traffic Registry has only one camera available for the job. The camera has not been working due to a technical fault.

The delay has caused a lot of frustration, and affecting a lot of people, particularly as drivers from other districts in Morobe must travel to Lae to process their license.

Jeffery Miria, a motorist in Lae, says he has waited for a month for his licence to be processed.

But it doesn’t stop there, motorists also say that the officers go into work late and attend to their customers very late in the morning.

The motorists have called on higher authorities and Morobe Traffic Registry, to help fix the problem.
