Gerehu Police Blessing

Gerehu Police Station was treated to a major overhaul by staff oPNG Power.

As part of its 50 years anniversary,the staff presented close to K10, 000 worth of computers and printers tothe Gerehu Police Station.

The staff technicians also renovated frail power cords atthe station.

There on hand to receivethe equipment was Sergeant Cosmas Kawi, standing in for Police Station Commander Hovers Kora who was attending a workshop.

PNG Power Regional Operations Manager Watson Naso saidthe state owned entity was also responding to Prime Minister Peter ONeill’s appeal for State owned Entity’s to assist public offices likethe police stations and hospitals.

PNG Power Technicians also replaced old spot lights atthe police station and changed some ofthe old wirings too.

It was a blessing for one ofthe city’s police station’s that has managed to control crime in Gerehu despite shortage of manpower and resources.

PNG Power Limited will also assist to paintthe police station inthe coming weeks.
