Two Policemen Arrested Over 7 Mile Beutality

Two policemen inthe National Capital have been arrested over brutality as investigations continue into a number of cases.

 

Beth officers are locked up atthe Beroko Police station.

 

Asthe force begins its modernization program, police headquarters has adopted zero tolerance for members who step out of line.

Calls to abolish police brutality have been loud and clear, and Police Commissioner Tom Kulunga says he will not tolerate it anymore.

 

 

They investigatedthe attack on 74 men by police at 7 Mile onthe 25th of May this year in Port Moresby.

 

Commander Andrews said he will not hesitate to deal with law breaking police officers.

 

They have already issued instructions for investigations and arrests into ther matters. Some of which have been highlighted by EMTV.

 

Such as this officer assaulting a young woman, and two boys forced to perform indecent acts.

Commander Andrews said police brutality is somethingthey wanted to weed out. He believes it is a community effort.
