Former MP Encourages Students to Contribute to Developing Jiwaka

Former North Wagi MP, Benjamin Mul, has urged Jiwaka students attending the University of Papua New Guinea to work hard in their studies and contribute meaningfully towards the development of their home province.

Mul issued the challenge at the second Jiwaka Provincial Day, for the new Jiwaka Province, at the Coronation Primary School grounds in the Nation’s Capital.

Promoting culture in a big city like Port Moresby, made up of people from all provinces within the country, is very challenging where one takes pride in their diversified cultural traditions.

But with the love of each individual culture, people have taken pride and showcased their origins and identity.

Mr Mul thanked the Jiwaka students for promoting their culture and traditions in the 21st century and urged them to uphold them for the future generations. He said that the future generation needs to know the stories of the past.

Mul said PNG’s culture is unique and must be preserved for the future generations.
