Enga Provincial Government stands ready to implement three priority impact projects. These are mainly in the education and health sectors.
Enga Governor Peter Ipatas made these remarks when announcing the Provincial Budget this afternoon.
Governor Ipatas announced a Provincial Budget of over K312 million, a budget that has been reduced by K10 million from last year. However, the Provincial Government is adamant to deliver the three specific projects. Among them are the construction and completion of Enga Provincial Hospital, and the new Polytech College in Enga
In addition to the budget, the Provincial Government will receive K25 million as PSIP funds. Enga Province, through Governor Ipatas, has championed the education policy over the years. With the government’s support to continue the free education policy, the province will divert its attention to improving the health sector.
Other impact projects include the upgrading of the K7 million Wabag Road, completion of Sopas Hospital that will become the new Wabag Hospital, and improvement of Kompiam Hospital with funding assistance of K500,000.
The Provincial Government will provide detailed information on its priorities and money plan in the upcoming Leaders’ Summit next Thursday.
