NCD Contributes to K100,000 to Kadovar Relief

A cheque of K100,000 was presented by NCD Governor, Powes Parkop, towards helping the people of Kadovar, Biem and Ruprup Islands of East Sepik Province.

This is in addition to the relief centre being set up outside City Hall in Port Moresby.

East Sepik Province Governor, Allan Bird, was present to receive the donation.

Governor Powes Parkop presented a cheque of K100,000 to East Sepik Governor, Allan Bird, today at City Hall to help the people of Ruprup, Kadovar and Biem Islands.

Governor Parkop says managing disaster needs all the help and support it can get.

He also said the check is already deposited in the relief account as of yesterday.

Governor Bird received the cheque on behalf of East Sepik Province extending his gratitude to NCD Governor, residents in NCD and all those are giving.

He stated that this donation will help with fuelling the navy vessel.

Govoner Parkop appeals to all residents and business houses in NCD and other centres to give towards and help the people of Kadovar, Ruprup and Biem Islands.
