The Brisbane Broncos has announced the signing of PNG Kumul Captain, David Mead.
Mead will move south from Gold Coast to join Wayne Bennett’s Broncos on a one year deal.
Mead, who broke the news before the Broncos, announced it through his Instagram account last night.
Two hours after Mead broke the news, the Broncos through their official website confirmed Mead’s signing saying the utility back will join the club later in the year when they start their pre-season training.
Mead who can play fullback, wing, centre or five/eight will be an ideal replacement for retired Broncos and England Test Centre, Jack Reed.
Mead said he and his family are excited to join the Broncos for the 2017 NRL season.
