Bomana prisoners allowed mobile phone access

Prisoners of one of the country’s biggest Jails, Bomana, outside of Port Moresby will have access to mobile phones.

Jail Commander Chief Superintendent Michael Mondia says this is part of efforts to improve jail conditions and also allow prisoners to communicate with their loved ones.

Given Bomana jail’s escape record the mobile phone decision is set to raise eye brows.
