Interested individuals are urged to apply, and send in expressions of interest and CVs for the position of, Head Coach, Assistant Coach and Team Manager to look after both the senior men’s and women’s team, as they prepare for the 2017 season.
2017 is a big year for the Federation, especially at national and international level.
BPNG CEO, Joel Khalu, says the National Championships will occur in July, an event that will be necessary for the selection of the squads for the inaugural Melanesian Cup title, to be hosted by PNG.
Khalu said this year the national championships are set to see great talent, from around the country, come together. He also added that the aim of the federation this year is to have both men and women’s team win gold in the inaugural event, and in making sure that it happens, the search is now on for the right people who will be in charge of the both teams, to achieving the goals.
With less them three months to the national championships for the senior players, and less than five months to the inaugural Melanesian cup titles, candidates for the position of Head Coach, Assistant Coach and Team manger are encouraged to visit the Basketball Federation website and apply as soon as possible as time is running out quickly.
The Melanesian Cup tournament is set to take place in September this year. PNG is scheduled to battle against its Melanesian counterparts from Fiji, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands and New Caledonia.
