A new home developer, Asia Pacific Global Logistics, now operating in PNG is selling affordable ready-made homes to PNG residents, at a cost of K90,000.
Director, Steven Kilage, says while eighty percent of Port Moresby residents live in settlements, these homes, once purchased, are easily transported to the site, and easily unpacked. Buyers from other parts of the country and other Pacific island countries, such as Fiji and Tonga, have shown interest to purchase the homes.
Built to suit Papua New Guineans living in settlements, the ready-made homes come complete with a dining room, shower and toilet, two bedrooms, and a kitchen.
Director Steven Kilage, says the homes are built to international standards and is well insulated with electrical wiring and water connections. He says the idea behind introducing these news homes is to alleviate housing problems ordinary Papua New Guineans are facing.
So far, ten homes have already been purchased by buyers from outside Port Moresby, and from around the Pacific.
The homes also come in different sizes, from three bedrooms to four bedrooms and can be dismantled upon request.
Port Moresby residents interested to do inspections on the homes are required to contact the Director, Steven Kilage.
