The Institute of Banking and Business Management in Port Moresby will begin offering an Australian Bachelor in Business program in 2017.
The degree program will be offered by IBBM and Torrens University, a fully accredited Australian Institution for higher learning.
The Institute of Banking and Business Management has been providing quality education for the past 51 years.
In 2014, the institute was granted the recognition from government as being an Institute of Higher Education and has since then, in partnership with Australian University, Torrens University, introduced the Masters in Business Administration in 2014.
Now to precede the MBA program, the Bachelor of Business program was introduced last week, to begin classes in 2017.
The degree program is a 3 year program. The first year being a foundation year for the diploma in business, the 2nd year, an associate degree in business and the third will be a specialisation year in which intakes choose between communications and public relations or marketing.
According to Executive Director of the IBBM, Sweta Sud, the program allows for Papua New Guineans to study for an Australian recognised degree program, without having to travel to Australia and incur the steep costs of living and studying there.
