Rabbitohs Beat Cowboys, Friday Night Football Preview

by Dion Kombeng – EM TV Sports, Port Moresby

In their most dominant performance of the season so far, the South Sydney Rabbitohs fired of a warning shot to the rest of the NRL in their disposing of the North Queensland Cowboys 31-18 in Thursday night football.

The 2014 reigning premiers have shown that they are definite grand final contenders, brushing aside the table-topping North Queenslanders in a dominant display of attacking football.

After a tight first half which saw the Rabbitohs kick a late field goal to take a 13-12 lead, they came out of the gates in the second half to race away and record a 13 point win.

Later this evening in Friday night football, the Brisbane Broncos will go head to head with the sizzling Dragons who are coming off hot from their attacking master class over the Warriors last weekend.

The Dragons currently sit in seventh spot on the ladder, and will want to continue their climb upwards as the September finals season approaches.

Meanwhile, the Broncos have gone back to the drawing board following their two consecutive losses and will want to prove why they still sit at the top of the ladder.
