PNG IPA into Online Business Registry

The Papua New GuineInvestment Promotion Authority has prepared to introducethe Online Business Registry atthe end ofthe year.

 

Support for that also come from New Zealand Aid Program andtheInternational Finance Corporation (IFC).

New Zealand Companies Office will be assisting inthe process asthey have a similar and successful online business registry.

 

The new system will allow companies, associations, business groups and business names to be registered online in a quick and simple process.

 

This improvers access to company registry services and removers barriers to small businesses enteringthe formal sector.

 

“We acknowledge this support by New Zealand to strenthenthe bilateral relationships in a key area of supporting business,” said Ivan Pomaleu &ndashPNG IPA Managing Director.
 

The New Zealand Business Registry Software developer Foster Moore has been contracted as New Zealand is rankedthe top ofWorld Bank’s Doing Business Rankings.

 

“This Business Registry will help Small and Medium Sized Enterprises which are reallythe life blood of economic development of any country,” said Marlon Grawshaw – New Zealand High Commissioner.
 

IFC also has a hand in Business Regulatory Advisory work withPNG IPA and supports its (PNG IPA) Business Registry Reforms.

 

The program aims to make it easier to do business in PNG

 

Employment opportunities will also be created through this program.

 

The Online Business Registry is worth close to two million kina and is expected to be emplaced bythe third week of Novermber.
