PNG Power put on an electrifying performance to beat Brown Eagles 2-1 inthe Port Moresby Men’s Softball semis inthe A grade division.
A young and determined Brown Eagles were out to secure a grand final appearance but experienced prevailed.
PNG Power has been a team in great form and when it comes to performing under pressurethe power boys know how to worktheir magic.
Brown Eagles have long been a team of consistency andtheir existence inthe competition for over many years has gained respect as upcoming softball stars are born out of this family oriented club.
It wasthe major semi-final ofthe Port Moresby Men’s softball A grade division anPNG Power certainly did have more power through pitcher Daniel Tovia. Their pitcher –catcher combination ofthe Tovia brthers has proverd lethal in recent times.
Brown Eagles onthe ther hand have come throughthe rankings andtheir club wisdom passed on to youngsters such as Graham Kinavai.
Brown Eagles ledthe game at first 1 nil but with fast and accurate pitching from Daniel Tovia, Eagles batsmen were immediately dismissed and sent back tothe dugout.
PNG power eventually defeated Brown Eagles 2-1 and will go on to meet United Bethersinthe Port Moresby Men’s Softball grand finals this weekend.
