Sparrows netball club has some work to do to prepare players for the Port Moresby Netball Competition as well as representative games.
That task however is being pushed along by DigicePNG.
The club is made up of Under 13, 15, 17, 21 years and two open teams. It’success came in 1999 whenthe club won a premiership and has been inthe top four inthe subsequent years.
The club received a sponsorship package of K10, 000 from DigicePNG on Monday.
Sparrows big name Julienne Leka saidthe financial assistance will continue to flag upthe moral ofthe club to go futher.
The team have eighty five members and has three players inthPNG Pepes squad and two in Under-21 National Team.
Sparrows are one ofthe ten major teams inthe Port Moresby Netball Competition. The club started in 1999.
