Digicel Foundation: New Classroom for Red Top Primary School

Digicel Foundation continues to roll out its community projects throughoutthe country.

To date,the Foundation has donated 69 double classrooms to Elementary Schools and 58 to Primary Schools throughoutthe country.

The Red Top Elementary School inthe Lufa District ofthe Eastern Highlands Province wasthe most recent recipient of a double classroom.

The visitors were welcomed bythe people from Furiri village, notably, Digicel’s Area Manager was treated to a chiefly welcome.

Out of three elementary schools inthe province, Red Top Primary school was chosen as it passed all requirements set by Digicel Foundation. The double classroom is fitted with solar panel kit. It also has a tuffa water tank and two toilets. 

It took two weeks to completethe whole project. The facilities werethen handed over tothe Head Teacher of Redtop Elementary School Simon Koman.

Lufa District Administrator, Wesley Loko, who was present atthe occasion, urgedthe people to take care ofthe facilities.

The Double classroom at Redtop Elementary School, brings to 7,the number of such classrooms donated to elementary schools inthe Eastern Highlands Province.
