Oro Province Governor Gary Juffa wants residents in Popondetta town to come forward with evidence to confirm allegations of police brutality.
This is in response to accusations of physical and verbal abuse, and destruction of property by MS4 members deployed inthe province.
Governor Juffa saidthe Police Unit isthere for a reason but if members set out of line, appropriate measures will be taken.
Mr Juffa has askedthe Provincial Administration andthe Provincial Police Commander to investigate.
Meanwhile Oro Provincial Administrator Owen Awaita has confirmed receiving reports of MS4 brutality.
Mr. Awaita also said he personally withnessed members of MS4 hurling verbal abuse towards women and girls inthe town.
