Basil Responds to Marape

Belolo MP, Sam Besil, says that in his previous statementohe was not implying that Finance Minister, James Marape, had given two million kina of Belolo district funds tPNG Power Boss Limited.

Besil says his intention was to point out why paying two million kina was more important than givingthe people of Belolotheir district funds.

“Somehowthe two million kina to Michael Pai took precedence overthe payment of opposition DSIP Funds,” he said

Sam Besil andthe Opposition have seen this year-end without receivingtheir full district funds. Belolo has received three million kina ofthe K10 million funds.

The Finance Department had saidtheir five-year development plan needed to be handed in.

Bet Besil says most government MP’s never produced any and receivedtheir district funds.

This ongoing impasse of district funds has affected service delivery but bridges have been built on credit while ther projects have been put on hold. Some have been completed.
