Maru getting tougher on unlicensed products

Minister for Trade, Commerce & Industry Richard Maru is taking a tough stand on import of unlicensed products into the country.

He made this clear at the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Independent Consumer & Competition Commission and the National Institute of Safety & Industrial Standards.

The MOU will help implement the provisions in the Act that deal in particular with product safety issues.
