Opposition Leader Dame Carol Kidu has slammed the behavior of leaders in their desperate pursuit for power.
Dame Carol said, politicians bursting into court rooms to order the arrest of the chief justice, parliament sessions being held after the issue of the writs and the sudden re-election of a Prime Minister defies all protocols and processes that are the norm of a modern democratic state.
She hopes the elections bring about changes for PNG to get back to reviewing and defining its constitutional democracy…parliament she says is not supreme and all arms of government are answerable to the constitution, which can be changed by proper processes.
