The only female candidate for Moresby South held a rally in Kaugere on Wednesday afternoon.
Anna Skate, daughter of former Prime Minister, Sir William Skate, rallied amidst a rowdy crowd.
Anna Skate’s father, the late Sir William Skate, grew up in Kaugere. She was given a fitting welcome when she arrived, whilst being accompanied by family members and supporters to the stage.
Peope’s Progress Party parliamentary leader, Ben Micah spoke at the rally. He says PPP will make Motu-Koitabu a district and create Ministries for Urban development and Village development.
Ben Micah roused a rowdy few in the crowd. But Peace and Good order committees were quick to contain a potential spill over.
Anna Skate then talked to the people amongst the drunken rowdiness.
