Civil Aviation launches first Corporate Plan

The Civil Aviation Authority launched its three year Corporate Plan on Wednesday, November 28, 2012.

This is the authority’s first corporate plan since it commenced operation in 2010 by an Act of Parliament.

The plan sets out the way in which CASA PNG will position itself to meet challenges over the years.

Emphasis is placed on the regulation of the aviation safety and security amongst others.

Civil Aviation Minister, Davis Steven said CASA must be responsible for monitoring what is happening within its business and more significantly if found to be negligent to accountable to not knowing what is really going on.

Wilson Sagati, CASA CEO & Civil Aviation Director, said we at CASA are in the pilot seat and we hold the sector together. The black path which we should follow ought to be planned out so we’ll all know the way ahead.
