IPA Director Wewerang: Public Servants’ Conduct Key to Service Delivery

The Head of the Public Administration Institute says the key to vital service delivery depends on public servants’ performance.

A presentation at the District and Provincial Treasurers’ meeting in Lae on public servants’ showed human resources as a critical factor for service delivery.

It identifies training and upskilling of human resources as a tool for improving service delivery.

During his speech at the District and Provincial Treasurers’ Meeting in Lae today, IPA Director, Angorie Wewerang, talked about the importance of having professional work conduct amongst public servants.

The idea is that planning and management in the public service workforce can be strengthened through more skills and training.

The Annual Provincial and District Treasurers’ meeting has attracted financial management discussions from financial professionals from public entities, government departments and the private sector.

Some of their discussions found that efficient work performance conduct is attributed to effective training.

The Institute of Public Administration aims to professionally train public servants in the public service work force.

The type of skills and training taught to the public service workforce will help deliver services to the people.
