Resident Medical Doctors of Arawa Health Centre in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville have acknowledged the rural block program.
The program supervised by Doctor Joe Vilosi, has built their medical career to become professionals and has hailed success over time.
These are the third batch of Resident Medical Doctors who happily told EM TV News, “it’s worth [the] experience, not only becoming spectators like in other health facilities around the country when it comes to surgical procedures.”
Owen Botty, on behalf of the Resident Medical Doctors. appreciated problems experienced in rural settings.
Joe Rakuita and James Betasulia said that availability of the health facilities has saved lives, time and costs, especially mothers from traveling all the way to Buka to access medical care.
Dr Vilosi thanked the National Health Department for choosing Arawa Health Centre, as a training ground and also challenged women doctors to take up the task, and gain the experience in rural settings.
