Hundreds Walk for the Fight Against Cervical Cancer

As dawn broke, the participants began their warm up with health and fitness trainer Milla Nash before they began their long walk around Boroko.

The walk started at Jack Pidik through Coronation Primary School, Bisini Parade than to Bava Street and onto Boroko drive before coming back to Jack Pidik Park.

Governer Parkop, who was in front of the group with the SP Hunters and Pepes, lead the group all the way around.

He commended the participants who turned up early to walk for a cause that was killing so many women in Papua New Guinea.

A Cancer Survivor, Caroline Henao, shared her experience of surviving cancer and how important it was to have family support.

Also present at the walk was Linda Babao-O’Neill, wife of Prime Minister Peter O’Neill, Secretary of health Pascoe Kase, Cancer foundation, the PNG Defence force, Police, Women Doctors Association and the general public.
