A primary school teacher in Port Moresby revealed that the attitude of students changed since the inception of the League Bilong Laif program.
Steven Nawen faces challenges in managing student’s attitude in which he taught 49 students at Gerehu Primary School, however has seen improvement through the LBL program.
“The attitudes are changing,” Mr Nawen observes.
He credits the LBL program for the notable shifts in student behavior, especially during their engaging sessions and also boys and girls respecting each other.
League Bilong Laif, a sport for development program, is a collaborative effort involving the Australian government, NRL PNG, PNGRFL, and the National Department of Education. Currently operational in NCD, Eastern Highlands, East New Britain, and Morobe Province, LBL is championing positive change through sport and education.
